Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy for Pets
Platelets are vital blood components that support clotting and trigger the body’s natural healing response. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy harnesses these healing properties to reduce pain and promote tissue repair in areas such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints.
The procedure is performed under a short general anaesthetic for safety and comfort. A blood sample is collected from your pet and processed in our on-site laboratory to concentrate the platelets. This enriched plasma is then injected directly into the affected area to stimulate healing.
PRP therapy typically takes 30 to 40 minutes. Most pet owners begin to see noticeable improvement within the first week, with continued progress over the following month.
